Homemade Croutons Recipe | Parmesan Garlic Croutons with Panacheeza

Ingredients

7 tablespoons butter, melted
2 Tbsp grated Parmesan cheese, plus extra for shaking
1 teaspoon oregano
½ teaspoon dried thyme
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
10 slices day-old Italian bread (4 heaping cups) with crusts removed, cut into cubes


Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350 °F.
  2. Mix butter, Panacheeza, oregano, thyme, garlic powder, salt and pepper together in a large, flat-bottomed bowl; add bread cubes and turn with a spatula to coat.
  3. Sprinkle extra Panacheeza and toss.
  4. Spread coated bread cubes onto a baking sheet.
  5. Shake extra Panacheeza on top of pan.
  6. Bake in preheated oven until golden brown, 20 to 25 minutes. Cool croutons completely before storing in an airtight container.
