Mac n Cheese Bake

Serves 6 


Ingredients

1 box/16 oz dry elbow pasta

3 cup pasta water (might not need all, but save all just in case)

16 oz shredded dairy or non-dairy cheddar cheese

1 cup Panacheeza

1 cup breadcrumbs 

½ cup + ¼ butter (1.5 sticks)

 

Directions

  1. Bring water to a boil, add elbow and cook until al dente.
  2. Strain pasta and be sure to save the pasta water.
  3. Put pasta back into the pot, add 1 stick of butter and mix over medium heat until melted. 
  4. Add ½ cup Panacheeza and shredded cheese and stir until melted.
  5. Add enough pasta water to the pot until desired sauce consistency is achieved.
  6. Mix ¼ cup (half a stick) of melted butter, breadcrumbs and ½ cup Panacheeza together. 
  7. Pour macaroni into baking dish and spread breadcrumb mixture over top.
  8. Set oven to broil and bake until browned, or until crispy and brown, 5-10 minutes.
  9. Serve and sprinkle Panacheeza overtop macaroni and cheese.
